In
October we unveiled www.missiongeographic.org.
Developing the web page proved to be a very long and stressful endeavor.
The same day I finally put Mission Geographic online was the day
I also felt like God was telling me to let go of the site. I wasn't
completely sure of what "letting go" meant. I did know
that God wanted me to surrender the idea of Mission Geographic back
to him. I also knew for sure that God was not telling us
to give up the ministry of Mission Geographic. We know
that this is a long term ministry. After a few months of listening
and meeting with key leaders and missionaries I feel I have a closer
idea of what "letting go" means. First of all, God has
been telling me not to be afraid of rough drafts. That's easier
said than done, but after finally letting go of some of my own ideas
for the Mission Geographic web site I am ready to embrace a new
web site. Brenda and I now feel we have an even more specific idea
of what our role as leaders is in Mission Geographic. Essentially
we are "Missions Advocates" on a mission to find other
"Mission Advocates".
2006 will be a year of really putting Mission Geographic into action.
This past January I finished directing and editing my first documentary
for a missionary in Sudan. This documentary will be online soon.
I am also excited to unveil a more minimalistic web site that will
enable other Missions Advocates to communicate easily and bring
aid to our friends in the field (while also protecting the identities
of missionaries in at risk areas). We pray that you will consider
joining us this next year on this adventure.
Sincerely,
the Franks
