The Frank Adventure continues

We are officially back here in Washington and working to get set up here for long term missions. So much has happened here in the past few weeks. Here is the latest...

Moving in
We were able to meet the landlord and move into the house the same day we arrived! We were able to pay the landlord our damage deposit and a half months rent! The landlord was very gracious and is letting us pro-rate for the last months rent. We still are looking for a miracle to pay our first months rent next week, but more about that later...

It's just a house, but...
it's an oasis for us. Only 1 mile to our church and the freeway. The house is secluded and it feels somewhat like we are in the country. The girls have a massive fenced yard to play outside and a circular driveway to ride their bikes, and their room is huge. They have had an early Christmas opening all the boxes of toys they haven't seen in a year. When people come to visit they can't help but agree that there is something special about this property. We can see the potential for a place of refuge for missionaries on furlough: a private place for missionaries to come and stay and host supporters...to tell of their adventures over sees and for supporters to come and pray with them. We can't claim for sure that this may be the land for this to happen, but we do know that we are open for God to bless ideas like these.

An apprentice to the Missions Pastor
I (David) am officially an apprentice to the Missions Pastor at Mill Creek, Don Cain. I will be volunteering full time at the church 5 days a week and learning how the church works with long term missionaries. The church will also be advising us through the establishment of Mission Geographic.

Continuing Education
I am also continuing Biblical education while in Washington. I am in a course entitled Koinos which is an in depth study of Acts through Revelation. The first 3 sessions are being taught by a Princeton Professor. The learning curve is high and my head hurts, but I am loving it.

What's ahead for the Franks...
We are looking forward to the next five years that we have committed to be involved in missions and we are excited to say that we feel like we may be headed for a life in missions. We look forward to sharing our journey with you and we are so appreciative of all the support we have felt in our first crucial year. We are looking at attending 2 mission conventions in November. The first gathering is here in Washington with 27 Foursquare churches. The second is a gathering of missionaries with YWAM in Estes Park Colorado. We feel that both of these are important for meeting new connections and raising support for Mission Geographic. I am also looking at the possibility of traveling to LA this year with Don Cain to meet with a missions organization that is focused on ministry to Muslim nations. In January/February Brenda and I have been invited to participate in another seminar with U of N in Kona that is designed to help missionaries raise awareness through all aspects of media. Brenda and I are also seriously looking at traveling to many nations including India , Kyrgyzstan , Afghanistan, Albania, Mongolia, Africa and Kenya to film documentaries for missionaries and then showing them in churches. We then plan on filming the responses by U.S. churches and then showing the results to more churches. We really have a passion to help missionaries who are making a difference throughout the world.

Mission Geographic still set for September?
Yes, we are still planning on having the web page online by the end of the week! Stay tuned...

We haven't forgotten the Tent maker
Despite the fact that we are working full time in ministry we will also be continuing to work side jobs wherever and whenever they are available and we are not ruling out night jobs. We are also looking forward to getting our t-shirt press up and running again. P.S. If you know anyone who needs a web page designed I have some great specials right now.

Please continue to Pray...
Things may be tough for us during the next few months as we get set up for long term missions. Please pray for provision and for many side jobs. Our most pressing issue is October rent. We still need to raise about $700 by October 1st. This is a lot, but also awesome considering that we needed to raise over $2800 just 2 weeks ago! Everything is on the table. We have been selling items like mad on Ebay, but it will still be very close. Please continue to pray.

We are also praying for those who would like to help us with the establishment of Mission Geographic. We have talked with many people who are interested in working with us and look forward to sharing more about them over the next few months.

Daily Miracles
Everyday it seems like we find a new miracle. I want to write a book about all the miracles we have seen this year. Just some miracles in the past few weeks: Our van rides again (after being declared totalled twice!), our computer was fixed by "Mr. Computer"...Joshua Frank, we were able to fly back to Washington and rent the house for only $850 a month!

Thank you for all of your continued support!

Love,

David, Brenda, Bostyn, Reagan and Riley
